This 1981 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am was registered with one owner until 2022, and it shows 60k miles. Finished in Dark Blue Metallic with gold accents over Camel Tan velour cloth upholstery, it has gold-finished 15″ Snowflake wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, power windows, air conditioning, cruise control, and a Pioneer AM/FM cassette stereo. Its alternator was replaced before the car was acquired by the seller on BaT in January 2023, and subsequent work involved paint repairs in addition to servicing the air conditioning and carburetor. This Trans Am is offered with a window sticker, 1981 sales paperwork, manufacturer’s literature, handwritten notes, a removed factory radio, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Missouri title in the seller’s name.
The metallic blue finish is contrasted by a gold Trans Am hood graphic and pinstripes. Equipment includes a shaker hood, a front air dam, fender vents, quad exhaust outlets, and a three-piece rear spoiler. The left-front fender was repainted in 2017. Under current ownership, the bumpers were refinished, and paint correction work was completed along with replacement of the window weatherstripping and guides.
Gold-finished 15″ Snowflake wheels are mounted with 225/70 GT Radial Champiro VP1 tires. Radial Tuned Suspension is noted, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The seats are upholstered in Camel Tan velour cloth, and the cabin has air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, rubber floor mats, and a Pioneer AM/FM cassette stereo.
Mounted on a tilt column, the leather-wrapped Formula steering wheel fronts an engine-turned dash panel housing an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset clock, and gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 60k miles, ~250 of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.9-liter L37 V8 was equipped at the factory with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 150 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque when new. It sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The alternator is said to have been replaced in July 2022. The seller adds that the air conditioning compressor was replaced in November 2024, and the carburetor was refurbished.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
