This 1960 Chevrolet Corvette was acquired by the seller’s late step-father in 2019, who refurbished it over the next three years with reported parts costs of over $128k. Power is provided by an LS376/525 paired with a TKO600 five-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in red over red, and further equipped with a 9″ rear end, a white convertible soft top, a removable body-color hardtop, 18″ and 20″ wheels, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, tubular A-arms, 2″ drop spindles, a front sway bar, QA1 adjustable coilovers, rack-and-pinion steering, a four-link rear suspension, Vintage Air air conditioning, and an aftermarket stereo and gauges. This C1 is now offered by the seller on behalf of their mother with service records and a clean Missouri title.
Aftermarket, widened rear quarter panels were fitted, and the car was painted red with white coves. Exterior equipment includes a white convertible soft top, a removable body-color hardtop, quadruple headlights, split chrome bumpers, fender vents, and quad exhaust tips. A scratch on the lower side of the right front fender is noted.
The 18″ and 20″ five-spoke wheels have decorative three-eared spinners and are wrapped in 225/45 front and 265/45 rear Nitto tires. Suspension modifications include tubular A-arms, 2″ drop spindles, a front sway bar, QA1 adjustable coilovers, and a four-link rear suspension. 1979 Mustang-sourced rack-and-pinion steering is fitted along with Hydratech hydroboost-assisted Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes.
The seats are trimmed in white vinyl and accompanied by a red dashboard topper, carpets, and door panels. Equipment includes lap belts, an aftermarket stereo, Vintage Air air conditioning, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames aftermarket gauges. The digital odometer shows 43 miles, which is said to represent the mileage since the refurbishment was completed.
The 6.2-liter LS376/525 V8 crate engine was installed in 2020 and is equipped with Holley Sniper EFI, a Spectre air intake, and a DeWitts aluminum radiator.
A Tremec TKO600 five-speed manual transmission and a 9″ rear end with 3.70:1 gearing were installed along with Moser 31-spline rear axles and a transmission crossmember. A dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers is fitted.
The car is titled as a 1960 Chevrolet Coupe by the Missouri Assigned Identification Number, DRMVB0000164737MO, shown above. The body carries a 1960-model-year VIN, while the frame has a 1958 VIN.
