There may not have been a better moment in recent memory to buy a new Chevy Corvette Z06. Though it’s been on the market for a couple of years now, the Z06 still delivers impressive performance. Better yet, the days of steep dealer markups appear to be over. With supply finally catching up to demand, some Z06 models are even hitting showroom floors with discounts.

A look at Chevrolet’s online inventory tool reveals there are currently 3,711 C8 Corvette models on dealership lots across the United States. Of these, 1,714 are Z06s, 1,121 are Stingrays, and 876 are E-Rays. Having so many Z06s in inventory is particularly surprising when you consider how difficult it can be to buy one of the Z06’s European rivals from a dealer without placing an order years in advance.
As mentioned, the times of hefty premiums being placed on Z06s have largely disappeared, with the vast majority being sold at MSRP or even slightly below. For example, a blacked-out Z06 2LZ from Hendrick Chevrolet Shawnee Mission in Kansas is available for $132,551, despite having a $139,620 MSRP. At Vaughn Automotive in Ottumwa, Iowa, a yellow Z06 2LZ has an asking price of $134,870, a nice discount from the $140,870 MSRP.
Discounts Galore
There are some even heftier deals available. George Nunnally Chevrolet in Bonner Springs, Kansas, has an Arctic White Z06 3LZ for sale with a price after offers of $140,907, representing a massive saving from the $155,009 MSRP. Hunt around, and it’s possible to find many other Z06s with discounts exceeding $10,000.
As noted by Corvette Blogger, there are likely several factors at play here. For starters, all of the Z06s in inventory are 2025 or 2024 models, meaning they lack the redesigned interior of the 2026 Corvette, which adds larger screens and ditches the controversial ‘wall of buttons.’
ZR1 and ZR1X Steal the Spotlight
However, perhaps the single biggest reason why Z06 inventory is swelling is the ZR1 and ZR1X. Both of these models deliver over 1,000 hp thanks to a twin-turbocharged version of the Z06’s 5.5-liter V8, and despite costing a lot more, it’s likely many Corvette owners only want one of these flagships.
