Picnic season is here! Need a little inspiration? I’ve rounded up some of my favorite Picnic Food Ideas to get you started. Everything on this list is easy to pack, holds up well in the heat, and is perfect for your next outdoor adventure.

If you wanna impress, MAKE THESE. They actually get better the longer they sit. PRIME picnic food.

I packed one last week and used carrots to dip into the extra cream cheese!

For the vegetarian in your life! This veggie sandwich is filled with goodness! I bet it would work well on a french roll too.

When you can’t decide if you want a salad or a sandwich, this one combines both!

What I like about a frittata is that it can be eaten at room temperature. Take a slab and make a sandwich! Cheese and arugula would be lovely additions.

Wrap these up in a moist paper towel so they don’t dry out. Pack some peanut sauce in a little jar and you’re good to go. Imagine how impressive it would be to pull these out for a picnic!

It’s not a sandwich but it’s something that would go really well with a big baguette or crackers!
Fill a deli container with them. Throw them in your bag. They’re so tasty and filling!

Another winner! You can omit the avocados if you’re worried about them turning brown.
But then again…pack a lime like I did and you’re cool.

Who doesn’t love a pasta salad? This one has so many amazing things in it. Throw some arugula in it and go to town!

I’d probably add some goat cheese to this beet salad. Knowing me, I’d probably add some arugula too!

I can vouch that this one travels well!! It also gets better with age 😉

Bring a little jar of the dressing with you! (You’ll want to drink it!)

Another HIT! Add feta if you desire. This one holds up well after a day at the beach. Trust me, I know!

I’d bring a jar of this potato salad and some arugula to mix into it. This is one of my favorite potato salads ever!

Bring a bag of chips and some prepped veggies to dip!!!
Make your own trailmix. It’s soooo much cheaper than buying it and you get exactly what you want in it.
Nuts and salami! Add cheese too!

Take a batch of this with you! Your friends are in for a real treat.

Bring some bubbly water and the early grey concentrate for a bubbly iced tea!

Another refreshing favorite!

No need to worry about melted chocolate with this treat!!

These are also great if you’re combining your picnic with a hike! They’ll give you a boost of energy.

Think shortbread meets granola. YUMMMM

It’s like having a Nature Valley bar but better!!

I would probably eat these before they had time to melt 😉
