Supporters of Sean “Diddy” Combs celebrated his partial court victory outside a Manhattan federal courthouse by showering each other with baby oil and shouting slogans like, “It’s not RICO, it’s FREAKO,” in reference to Combs being acquitted of racketeering charges.
During the trial, prosecutors showed videos from Combs’ infamous “freak-off” parties and presented hundreds of bottles of baby oil seized from his residence as part of their case that the rapper used his power and wealth to a network of sex trafficking, coercion, and other sex crimes. On Wednesday, he was was convicted on two of the five counts in his federal sex crimes trial on Wednesday — specifically, he was found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution. However, he was acquitted of the more serious charges related to racketeering and sex trafficking.
